Start and work of a server part

For performance of any operations with the remoute scanner it is necessary to start a server part of the application on a computer with scanner. At start the application minimize to system tray. To open the main window make double click on an icon of the application in tray.

Inclusion of an option "Display progress" it is possible to display process of scanning. Attention! The given function can not be supported by the driver of the scanner.

"Source" is caused by pressing the button a standard window of the TWAIN-manager, where it is possible to specify the scanner (if them a little) to which the program will address.

For convenience of use, loading of the server of the program can be placed in the list of auto loaded programs. In this case at inclusion of a computer the program will automatically be started and will be curtailed in system tray. In such variant the server demands very few system resources (about 600 Kb of operative memory). At de energizing a computer it is possible to not care of de energizing the server - it will be closed independently.

Start and work of a client part

In group "Documents" it is possible to specify how images will be scanned and kept. Whether having included the switch "Scan multiple documents" it is possible to specify it is necessary to use a mode of a multipage if the mode "Create one image file for each" that a multipage it will not be used. In case of scanning several copies (the switch "Scan multiple documents" it is included) it is possible to include function of automatic scanning on the timer for this purpose it is necessary to include an option "Use timer" and to establish values of a delay in seconds and quantity of start of the scanner.

Time of a delay is counted from that moment when the element of the scanner starts to come back back. It is necessary to take into account this moment in spite of the fact that many models of scanners have rather big speed of return. Usually values in 10 seconds it happens more than enough.

In group "Options" it is possible to specify the required sanction of the scanning images and a mode colors (depth).

Compo box the list "Format" is intended for a choice of a required format of a file. In a mode of a multipage two formats PDF are accessible and TIFF - other formats do not support a multipage. For formats JPG, PDF and TIFF the compression for reduction of volume of a received file is used, the degree of this compression can be specified in adjustments of the program, by default this value is equal 75.

The catalogue on a disk where the received images will be kept is possible to choose in group "Destination directory", having pressed the button with the image of a folder or having written a way manually.

After the instruction of all necessary parameters it is possible to start actually process of scanning by pressing of button "Scan".

Adjustments of the program are simple and not numerous

At once after installation of a client part of the application it is necessary to specify value of the IP-address of the server. The address of the server can be learned as follows: on a computer where the server part is established to go in "Control panel" to click "Network connections" twice and having clicked the right key of the mouse on a shortcut of corresponding connection on a local area network to choose "Status", on the tab "Additional" you will see the IP-address of a computer. It is necessary for establishing in adjustments of the client on all computers where the client part is established.
